Johanna Fischer, managing director of tmf dialogue marketing and piranha content & pr, spoke at Convene in Vilnius, Lithuania which took place from 11 to 12 February 2015.
The annual meetings and events exhibition CONVENE was a great success: At the 3rd edition of this show, visitor records could be achieved – 157 hosted buyers from 29 countries and VIP visitors from Lithuania kept more than 3.500 appointments. Almost 600 visitors participated in the professional education programme in which 21 sessions were offered. Furthermore, CONVENE registered more exhibitors than the years before: Denmark, Ukraine and Slovakia participated for the first time. All in all, the exhibitors came from 11 different countries. In the Professional Development Academy, she spoke about the German outbound meetings market. The participants got to know why old-school marketing methods no longer work and how they need to be amended to build up market presence and business. Johanna Fischer explained:
“In the future, interaction is a MUST: All sales work needs to be embedded and accompanied by fast and dynamic communication.”

In the education session Johanna Fischer talked about the use of digital content to create engagement in the Meetings and Events Industry. She showed possibilities and case studies on how to build interesting stories in order to engage clients, audiences or event participants. An attempt to make the complex world of content and social marketing simple and easy to manage!
