The sixth edition of CONVENE has officially begun, bringing together an exciting mix of Hosted Buyers and Exhibitors from across the Baltic Sea Region, as well as a number of notable speakers leading the event’s annual Education Programme.

The focus for CONVENE 2018 has been on making the exhibition a quality event like no other before it. The event programme, along with the individuals and businesses participating in CONVENE, promise to deliver on this ambition.

This year, the event features 165+ Hosted Buyers from 30 countries (including Germany, the UK, France, USA, Italy, Russia, Benelux and Scandinavia), and 86 Exhibitors from the Baltic Sea Region, as well as guest Exhibitors from the United Arab Emirates, Slovakia, Ukraine and Belarus. Everyone is going to have to hit the ground running, as Exhibitor and Hosted Buyer diaries are filled with pre-scheduled meetings, which will provide them with invaluable networking opportunities.

Jolanta Beniulienė, Director of the Vilnius Convention Bureau, is happy to welcome delegates to the sixth edition of the boutique event, remarking, “Once again, CONVENE is giving us another opportunity to strengthen the region’s meeting industry and build on the success of our previous events. The Baltic Sea Region has a lot to offer meeting planners from around Europe and across the globe, and it’s great to see this exhibition have an impact in this regard. Moreover, the ratio of Hosted Buyers to Exhibitors at CONVENE 2018 is 2:1, which is the highest among all trade shows dedicated to our industry.”

CONVENE 2018 is set amid the backdrop of celebrations honouring the 100-year anniversary of the signing of Lithuania’s Act of Independence, which makes the event extra special. The actual anniversary falls on 16 February, one day after CONVENE. As such, everyone taking part in the exhibition is encouraged to join in the festivities going on in the city to mark this milestone.

Organised by the Vilnius Convention Bureau, CONVENE is a business marketplace providing non-stop networking opportunities for meeting professionals. The two-day event gathers Baltic Sea meeting and events industry suppliers and buyers from across Europe together under one roof and encourages knowledge and best practice sharing.

The sixth edition of CONVENE is currently taking place at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO in Vilnius, with the event’s Education Programme streaming live on the CONVENE website. For more information, please visit www.convene.lt.
