The importance of digitally share and be connected while on vacation or business trips is increasing. The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) shows that there are a lot of offerings on cruise ships to stay connected at sea and the costs for travelers decline steadily. “Cruise lines globally have made major technological strides to offer our travelers the chance to stay connected while enjoying a cruise vacation”, said Thomas P. Ostebo, President and CEO, CLIA.
An example is Disney Cruise Lines. They are offering Internet services that charge based on data use at reasonable prices instead of charging by the minute. Another one is the Carnival Cruise Line which offers a social media package that allows travelers to access facebook and twitter for five dollars per day.
