From December 5-8 2018, the World Congress of Cardiology & Cardiovascular Health will take place at the Dubai World Trade Center. His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Chariman of the Board and Director General of the Dubai Health Authority recently announced the successful bid during a press conference at the Dubai Health Authority Headquarters.

Dubai was chosen to host the congress due to its geographical location as well as its incredible health facilities, which have attained a great amount of international accreditation. Hosting this congress only advances Dubai’s reputation as a center for health and science.

In 2012, an earlier edition of the World Congress of Cardiology & Cardiovascular Health also took place in Dubai. Issam Kazim, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing remarked: “It is a testament to the emirate’s reputation as a strong business events destination that the congress is returning so soon.”

Professor David Wood, President of the World Heart Federation said that the “2018 Congress will focus on prevention with the global objective of reducing premature mortality by reducing the burden of nonommunicable diseases by 25% by 2020.”  8-10,000 attendees are expected to take part in over 200 scientific sessions at the congress.

Dubai will also be part of the Experiential Planner Expo this coming July (6-7th). EPEX is the place to meet top MICE and destination wedding planners from India and Asia. With 30 select destinations, the second edition of the show will have an optimal 1:5 seller to buyer ratio.
