Strawberries, cherries, apples, lemons, grapes – all of these fruits have their very own congress. Amazing, right?

We’ve already introduced to you the International Citrus Congress (Brazil), the International Cherry Symposium (Japan) and of course the IX International Strawberry Symposium that is going to be held at our partner’s venue Palacongressi di Rimini in 2020.

But today, it’s banana time…

A very important Congress in this industry regularly takes place in Australia – “The Australian Banana Industry Congress” (ABIC) – which is supposed to be the most significant gathering of the national banana industry. The congress occurs every two years, the next one from 22-24 June 2017, this time at Sheraton on the Park in Sydney.

Then, the whole banana industry nation-wide – growers, leaders, innovators and service staff – meets to discuss current developments and to develop ideas. Along with a high-quality speakers program, ABIC 2017 will include opportunities for site visits to showcase the latest in supply-chain innovations, great entertainment, and social activities for delegate and partner and the industry’s major social and awards event, the Banana Industry Ball.

The 2015 congress (17-20 June in Melbourne) was a great success. More than 450 visitors were on site for the event, including delegates and accompanying persons, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors!
