As established by many studies and questionnaires, accessibility and an integrated mobility system are extremely important factors when choosing a destination for an upcoming event.

Over the past year, Rimini has been updating its travel services to become even more accessible than before. The new “Bologna – Rimini Shuttle Service” provides a direct trip from Bologna’s Guglielmo Marconi Aiport to Rimini.

Since the inception of the shuttle service, 50,000 more passengers were transported in addition to the normal trains, buses, and taxis. Of these 50,000, 45% were foreign visitors from the UK, Germany, France, and Russia. Statistics about the passengers, collected by the shuttle service themselves, show the majority of guests used the service during IEG fair and congress events, the majority of which took place at the Palacongressi di Rimini and in the Riviera region.

The “Bologna – Rimini Shuttle Service” operates 365 days a year, offering 10 trips per day! Departure and arrival times coincide with peak domestic and international flight times at the Bologna Airport. The shuttles can be booked for up to 54 people, and provide air conditioning, free Wifi, as well as a minibar for maximum comfort. All shuttles are 5/6 class vehicles with low environmental impact.

Since this spring, new stops have been added including Milano Marittima and Gabicce Mare.
