“I feel sLOVEnia, Green. Active. Healthy.”
This is Slovenia’s slogan at Expo Milano 2015. It will count as one of 52 countries presenting their home town at the world exhibition taking place from May 1 to October 31, 2015. 20 million visitors are expected to come to the Expo, which has “food” as main theme.
At the Slovenian pavillion visitors experience five themes: salt, bees, thermal and mineral waters, active lifestyle and green technologies. The pavillion has a pyramidal shape set on a dynamic geometric surface, the building showing Slovenia’s variety of landscapes: the transition from the Alpine mountains to the Pannonian plains, the Mediterranean hills and the cultivated fields, under which lies an extraordinary subterranean labyrinth of Karst caves, stalactites and stalagmites. The pavillion is made of wood and glass.
“The goals Slovenia wants to achieve are to strengthen exports, economic collaboration and business partnerships, enhance the recognition of the “I feel SLOVEnia” brand and increase the reputation of Slovenia, as well as Slovenia’s recognition as a green destination focused on sustainable tourism.”
