“Tree of Life” is a 37 meters tree that stands as symbol of EXPO 2015 in Milan. The tree is inspired entirely by one of Michelangelo’s design. The Renaissance style art piece was built by  “Orgoglio Brescia” with a concept from Marco Balich, the artistic director of the Italian Pavilion.

“Other than being the symbol of the Expo 2015, the Tree of Life turns its attention towards innovation and technology of the future. The peculiarity of the structure inspires the visitors, creating a network of connections between the various pavilions of the Expo 2015. It becomes the starting point of all the events scheduled by the Italian pavilion. The structure is accompanied by a series of special effects created with the latest technology. The tree is put into scene every day, once an hour with emotional spectacles lasting 5:15 minutes with water games, music and special effects.”

If you are in Milan, you can find it at the end of Expo’s main street, il Cardo, situated in front of the Palazzo Italia.
