In the following post we are presenting a selection of popular restaurants in Malmö Sweden, as suggested by Malmö Tourism, the Swedish city’s Convention Bureau.

Lila Torg/ City centre

There are many restaurants here that offer high quality food. The relaxed Vollmers in the Gamla väster area has both Michelin stars and excellent reviews in the White Guide and TripAdvisor. Also praised by the Michelin inspectors was Bastard, a restaurant specialising in meat, where the chefs create innovative dishes using all conceivable parts of animals. At Tryne till Knorr they serve seasonal dinners with finesse, and guests at the Italian restaurant Epicuré are soon transformed into bon viveurs. And of course the restaurants around Lilla Torg are popular all year round.

Davidshall

The area around the square is both charming and trendy, just like the restaurants here. At B.A.R, for example, you will find ambitious cuisine at a reasonable price, while the timeless Atmosfär serves tasty dishes with Swedish flavours and French nuances.

Möllan, S:t Knut

Around Möllevångstorget you can find crispy balls of falafel in home-baked bread for a few kronor and restaurants offering Indian, Caribbean, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Swedish, Persian… well, quite simply cuisine from many parts of the world! Try, for example, the French-inspired bistro Belle Epoque and the successful restaurant Lyran. Or stroll down to the square at S:t Knut and sample Japanese/Skåne sushi at Saiko.

Dockan/Western Harbour

If you like to feel the sea breeze, Dockan/Western Harbour is the place for you. The restaurant Salt och Brygga serves dishes with a view over the Sound, Bar Italia bakes gourmet pizzas and at Årstiderna by the Sea you will find excellent fish on their very own jetty.

White Guide

Sweden’s answer to the French Guide Michelin is called the White Guide. It lists restaurants that are well worth a visit. Some of them are absolutely superb and of the very highest international standard!”
