When you are reaching the Faroe Islands you will notice it right away: the fresh and healthy air, fascinating fog, green grass that covers the islands, tall mountains, deep valleys, beautiful lakes, grazing sheep and breathtaking views – an untouched landscape which lies unexplored before your feet. All you have to do is to “Meet Nature”.
The Faroe Islands offer everything you need for your MICE business. Planners can find there top facilities and services for conferences and meetings. You can book different five-star conference facilities such as the 5-star Nordic House which has space for up to 600 sitting guests or 4-star Hotel Hafnia which has function rooms of different sizes for up to 100 participants.
It is especially a place perfectly suitable for healthy meetings. It is essential for healthy food to be offered during coffee and lunch breaks – and the hotel’s restaurants do exactly that. Most of them serve food based on local produce like fish, lamb, seafood and herbs, without using any artifical additives.
In the restaurant KOKS, located on the top of Tórshavn at the Hotel Føroyar, you will be served New Nordic food (New Nordic Manifesto from 2004) with primarily local raw materials. The hotel received “The Nordic Prize” for the best restaurant in the Nordic countries. So, spend your lunch breaks in this restaurant and boost new energy for the rest of the working day.
You can also enjoy your food in the restaurant at Hotel Hafnia. The chefs create Faroese specialities in perfect combination with the international cuisine. For example, choose from the varied and delicious fish buffet: the Faroese fish is considered to be the best in the world due to the stable low marine temperatures (6 to 12 degrees), the Faroese waters have. It is not only the food which is healthy but also the water: the quality of the spring water is exceptional because it is filtered through the basalt mountains and famous for its clarity and delicate taste.
Natural beauty, the refreshing and healthy air make the Faroe Islands a fantastic place for team building activities, outdoor adventures, and excursions. A growing number of organizations are therefore choosing the Faroe Islands for special events such as conferences and workshops, which are made truly extraordinary when combined with outdoor activities. Such activities may include, for example, hiking in the fresh air or cruising on a boat – what can be more healthier?
You need recreation after a long day of work? Many places offer spa, sauna, swimming, yoga, wellness and massage.
