Like every year, BOE International hosted a press conference on the eve of the first day which saw a large media turn up. BOE was represented by Mrs. Sabine Loos (Managing Director Westfalenhallen Dortmund GmbH). The other participants and presenters were Mr. Jan Kalbfleisch (Managing Director FAMAB), Mrs. Prof. Dr. Cornelia Zanger (Professor of Marketing and Business Administration at Chemnitz University of Technology), Mike Süsser (Entrepreneur and TV chef) and Roland G. Meier (Chairman of the Federal Association for Event Security – bvvs).
The BOE International 2018 turned out to be a grand success in all of its broad range of endeavours. The number of both the exhibitors and visitors was significantly higher than the previous years. BOE’s efforts of internationalizing the exhibition also paid off as the percentage of international exhibitors reached an all time high and the “international reception”, a network meeting with representatives of international associations was a highly fruitful. All its forums received good participation and meaningful action plans came out of the same.
At the end of the conference Sabine Loos gave an outlook for 2019: The International Festival of Brand Experience – BRAND EX – is to be launched (a joint project by Blach Report, Messe Dortmund, FAMAB and the College of Communication). A range of award formats will be staged at BRAND EX: BEA, FAMAB AWARD, FAMAB NEW TALENT AWARD and INA – all the awards of the initiators of BRAND EX in a combined concept.
And BOE International gets a new logo and branding. The revised new logo focuses entirely on a clear sender function with the three letters BOE. However, the colors of the previous logo are taken over with the colors black, red and gray.
