Croatia as a MICE destination is new, innovative, creative and stimulating.

The country was recently named Business Destinations Travel Award winner in the category Best Destination for MICE, Europe 2018. The attractiveness of Croatia as a destination that has hosted the likes of Google, Dell, and Mercedes-Benz in the past, has been proven time and again. With ten sites under the protection of UNESCO, eight national parks, eleven nature parks, and many other examples of outstanding cultural and natural heritage, Croatia is for many people the most beautiful European garden. It is safe, readily accessible by plane, on modern highways, and by sea making it a great choice as a MICE destination, both for new incentive travel ideas but also for business meetings, special interest delegations and congresses.

A multitude of events has already shown the growing appeal of the destination, the new MEETEX trade show in the capital Zagreb is also a result of this development, differently presenting the local stakeholders to international hosted buyers to spread the new programs and infrastructural offers.

Incentives are the creative peak of the MICE offer and Croatia will leave you breathless — the mix of nature, culture and history, amazing gastronomy and wine, a great selection of both meeting- and health and wellness offers help delegates to enjoy fully both meeting and the space it takes place.

Where exactly should any MICE program take place? Whichever region chosen, Croatia will not disappoint. In addition to the capital city of Zagreb with its unique atmosphere and one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Dubrovnik, Opatija — once a trendy Austro-Hungarian health resort — is equally attractive and so are the Istrian cities of Rovinj, Poreč, Umag and Pula; the Dalmatian cities of Zadar, Šibenik, Vodice, Split, and Makarska; and in the continental portion of the country Osijek and many others that are making rapid strides in the market for congresses, while the thousand-and-one islands dotting Croatia’s Adriatic coast offer great meeting and incentive destinations, such as Hvar, Bol, Korčula and Mali Lošinj. This commitment is evident in the number of new or newly-renovated hotels that they present, which include very well-equipped conference halls for large, plenary sessions and for smaller meetings.

So Croatia offers the ideal mix of business and leisure, making it an optimal meetings and event location plus offering a great atmosphere for socializing and networking.
