Qatar Business Events: QNTC (Qatar National Tourism Council) has made significant efforts in diversifying visitor source markets and promoting Qatar as an attractive tourism destination. In 2018, six representative offices were opened in three of the world’s largest visitor source marketes – China, India and Russia – for MICE. Qatar National Tourism Council will again participate at IMEX in Frankfurt in May 2019 to showcase local partners and share strategy updates and to meet with event and exhibition planners from Europe and from key markets around the globe.QNTC will also exhibit for the second time at epex 2019 in New Delhi in June 27-29, to further establish it’s successful 2018 market entry in the Indian and English-speaking Asian markets.

Business Events remains a priority tourism sub-sector for Qatar. As host to more than 150 local, regional and international events annually the country is equipped to accomodate the flurry of activity that comes with large-scale events. QNTC became an ICCA Association Relations Partner in 2018 and the destination has been included on Forbes 15 top places to visit in 2019., which shows the increasing interest for Qatar among intl. travellers.

The country also has been listed as “safest country in Middle-Est”  in the Global Finance Index of safest countries and ranked seventh in the world – it is the only country outside Europe to come in the top 20 safest countries in the world, said Global Finance magazine, which is an key feature for taking international business events to a destination..
