Qatar… Qurated for you.

In November 2018, QNTC launched Qatar’s first global destination campaign. Under the tagline ‘Qatar. Qurated for you.’, the campaign brings to life Qatar’s focus on tailored visitor experiences that celebrate its heritage, and is being rolled out in eight languages across 15 existing and targeted priority markets targeting 250 million travellers around the world.

The best time to explore the destination is now….

With Qatar is being listed in Forbes’ top 15 places to visit in 2019 and NYT list of 2019 destinations, there has never been a better time to explore Qatar. It is the most open country in our region and we welcome the world to experience a unique destination where cultural authenticity meets modernity; where Arabian sands meet the sea; where people of the world come together to experience unique offerings in business, sports, culture and family entertainment. Everywhere they go, visitors will find an experience rooted in authenticity, where the nation’s cultural and natural gems are celebrated and carefully preserved.

Qatar is a destination for researchers and professionals, who are looking for not only a place to meet, but also a place where they can continue to learn, share knowledge and experience something new, outside of the walls of a conference hall.

Outside the conference halls there are a number of tourist attractions coming up this year including the much-anticipated Qatar National Museum designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, inspired by the desert rose. Also Doha’s second golf club, Education City Golf Club launched recently offering a revolutionary and holistic approach to growing the game of golf. It comprises a range of short game formats, a state-of-the-art learning and practice facility housed in the Centre of Excellence, a TrackMan range, an 18-hole championship golf course, a 6-hole championship course with 7 teeing ground options per hole for quick and multi-generational golf and a flood lit 9-hole par-3 course all designed by two-time major winner Jose Maria Olazabal. Three golf courses are available to play in Doha at Education City Golf Club.

In addition to its authentic tourism experiences, Qatar benefits from a high safety record, easy access, growing event management services, exhibition capacity of 70,000 square metres and expanded transport network.

Tradition of fine hospitality

Qatar’s hospitality sector is ranked first in the Middle East, according to the Guest Experience in the Middle East Report, released by hospitality and travel data providers Olery. The room supply across Qatar’s accommodation market grew by 4.8% in 2018 and had a total accommodation offering of over 25,917 rooms across 124 properties.Besides accommodation, the state-of-the-art Doha Metro is also in its final stages of completion. The five-star Hamad International Airport has already completed its first phase of Smart Airport program having won numerous international accolades and launched its second phase of expansion that will enable it to accommodate over 53 million passengers annually by 2022.

Qatar stands out from the crowd as a knowledge hub.

The government invests heavily in scientific research, particularly biomedical, computing and environmental research, raising Qatar’s profile as a destination for scientists, researchers, and artists, who are looking not only for a meeting place, but also a place where they can continue to learn, share knowledge and experience something new.

QNTC’s approach is focussed on attracting events that match Qatar’s existing growth sectors thereby creating more enriching MICE experiences for business visitors while making significant contributions to the country’s economy and intellectual landscapes.

Over the five-year period between 2012-2017, the sector witnessed a 36% average growth rate in exhibitions. And in 2018, Qatar hosted 131 exhibitions and conferences in various fields. The destination also won the rights to host six major business events to be held between 2019 and 2022.
