Next January, Vilnius will host the Rotaract European Meeting (REM), which will attract around 500 youth representatives from all around the world.
REM is a conference for young people to discuss Europe’s future humanitarian actions and plans. While the participants are there, they will also learn more about Lithuania and its culture. They will take part in a number of workshops and activities to foster the development of future business partnerships. It is expected the event will bring more than six figures in revenue. The Pre & Post meetings will be held in Kaunas and Druskininkai.
This was the first time Lithuania’s Rotaractors, in support of the Prime Minister, the Vilnius Convention Bureau and others, placed a bid to host the event. It is particularly special because 2018 marks a century of Lithuanian independence as well as the 50th and 30th anniversary of the International and European Rotaract community, respectively.
