This year, the ICCA CEC Summer Meeting is going to take place in Lviv, Ukraine. From August, 17-19, dozens of industry professionals from about 15 different countries will gather to make new contacts, share ideas, and enjoy the charming western Ukrainian city of Lviv.

With an immediate impression and impact in the region, Lviv is shaping up as one of the fastest-emerging MICE destinations in Eastern Europe. So, which destination could be more suitable for such an important meeting

Lviv is a city of 750,000 residents being located around 70 km away from the EU border and 160 km from the Eastern Carpathian Mountains. The city has a colourful history that gets obvious in its architecture as well as in its many ethnicities living there. Lviv is home of various cultural institutions and its historic city centre is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

“If you have never been to Lviv, you might feel a glimpse into an old world, primarily because of the eclectic architecture, narrow cobblestone walkways, and music freely played in the central city. The café society so common in Europe is widespread in Lviv, and you will likely feel at home within the international culture that has been a part of this region for centuries”, noted Lina Ostapchuk, Lviv Convention Bureau Director.

Lviv is a safe place: According to a survey, 85.8 % of foreign tourists feel safe in the city. So, the central theme of this year’s ICCA CEC Summer Meeting, “Safety and Security of Our Meetings”, perfectly suits.
